Laura Pehkonen

Laura Pehkonen is a ceramic and visual artist living in Helsinki. At the heart of Pehkonen's work is the creation of unique abstract works using and combining various artistic and craft techniques. Pehkonen's main material is ceramics, but she also works with wood and mixed media paintings. Pehkonen's works are unique abstract sculptures and paintings that leave the viewer free to interpret. In recent years, she has created large-scale public ceramic wall works, commissioned by, among others, the Helsinki Art Museum HAM, Vaasa Hospital and the State Fine Arts Commission.
